What's your advice on booking reservations for restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. I've heard you should book them all before you arrive, but being a first time visitor it's so hard to predict where we will be at what time.

Hi, I have been a member of http://disboards.com/ for nearly a year and been finding out soo much info about Walt Disney World.

I would defiantly book all restaurants before you go. The reservations open up 180 days before arrival date and MANY people booked at 180 mark!! It is very different to DLP where you can make a reservation on the day. Reservations for the signature restaurants will most defiantly be taken by the 90 day mark or before.

on the DIS forum, I regularly see posts from people who are disappointed that they cant reservations for restaurants after the 90 mark :(

I know its hard trying to decide where to eat, but unfortunately thats the way the system is in Florida

For the most popular resturants like Be Our Guest, you should book in advace as the most popular ones fill ut fast in advance. And I've heard reports that at the most popular resturants you could have problems getting same day reservations. But I think you also can get reservations short time before at some or more restaurants.
A link with some tips:

As bad-pink-tink said the best thing is to prebook to be sure.
I'm also a member of disboards.com and you get a lot of info there.
3 trips to DLP, 2 to WDW, 1 to Disneyland California
