Closures — attraction refurbishment schedules

saying that Pirates of the Caribbean is closed all of February as well and small world 1st - 15th. Luckily we get there the 17th so should have IASW but daughter will miss POTC.

I read on a French forum that POTC will be closed untill March 15th!
Have not found other closures for March yet, but can anyone confirm this?

Oh man, just booked a daytrip to DLRP and I was looking forward to POTC the most. This better means that Captain Jack will come to Paris (I know not everyone will agree with me on this ).

I hope that it will be open at the end of March because we will be going from 25 until 31 and my daughters love POTR.

POTC closed in March? I thouht it was just Feb. Hopefully this is wrong as Iam hoping to be going in March and love that ride! Went on it 12 times in 5 days the first time we went to DLP about 10 years ago!

Still cant find a link to the March closures yet, hopefully this is just a rumour!

According to the tweets from InsideDLParis this morning:

Casey and Le Pays - closed until 15th Feb
Autopia - closed until 15th Feb
PotC - closed until mid March for major tech refurb (Blue Lagoon also closed)
Buzz Lightyeat - closed until 25th Jan
Animagique - closed until 18th Jan
Studio Tram Tour - closed until late March

Oh i really hope this is wrong about POTC - my son is a huge fan and will be gutted. We'll be there from March 1st till 4th. Fingers crossed.

Apparently it's due to be closed until March 15th. Which is highly annoying because I'm there with a school trip from the 5th - 7th and a nice (warming) trip through PotC will be missed! Can but hope they manage to finish it early!

no may closures wont be announced until around about march time, closures are usually announced around 2 months in advance

i hope the dates are right, at this rate i will only miss out on dumbo, the flying carpets and captain eo, but they open again before i leave so its not too bad.... (i'm there from the 27th of march)

Read a tweet earlier that would insinuate that the studio team tour would be open again by 3rd March. Unfortunately for fans of POTC it seems it will be a long closure up to the already stated completion date. Gutted!

I am guessing that every year they need to do a little maintenance on each ride. I am looking to visit again in December and was wondering do the same rides get refurbished about the same time every year?

it really depends on just how big the last batch of maintenance was, some rides close down at around the same time every year without fail (take for example its a small world, it closes down around the same time every year so they can put on/take off the christmas overlay) for others its just as and when the ride needs it

Just found out "Blanche Neige.." will be closed while I'm there It's my fave ride in the parks- so that makes me a little sad. Still excited about going- but need to find a new "First ride of the trip" ride then.

so sad, BTM closed in may when we are going. I know I really should not complain because most things are open, but this is our absolute favourite ride

Anyone have any idea when the June closures will be published?

Just seen the closures for June, thing is, we have a son who HAS! to go on big thunder mountain, it is his favourite and the only reason we are going, it says it will be closed until the 14th of June, we are going to arrive on the 17th, does this mean there is a chance they could over run on the refurbishments? Or are they usually spot on?

Hi aircanman - I noticed the june closures a few days ago - we are there through the time of Big Thunders closure :-/

But I'm guessing the it will be up and running for your trip on the 17th again - lucky thing!

Gutted! - I really don't know how they can close it in June, it was so busy last year when we went that time!! - Anyways, it does look like they will open it by the time I get there, but I would love to know if those dates are set in stone, because our boy would be so upset if it was closed, its his favorite ride and he can't ride much else.
