Grrrrrr!!! Price increase.

Postby gothprincess » Thu Nov 29, 2012 6:42 pm

I went to book today after months of saving and the prive has gone up by £150 since yeasterday. It isn't even because of the flight it's because the new "offer" actually makes it more expensive. I'm gutted  this year's trip was a streach for us anyway I'm not sure we'll have enough for spending money now. :(

I take it they are a law unto themselves and there is nothing i can do about it. :x

the only thing you can do is wait for another offer to come out for your dates - one finished yesterday, so there will be another along within the next fortnight.

You are planning to go in February? Then I would definitely wait. There always seem to be good offers after Christmas for those months because they are such quiet times. That's when you get the kids under 12 going free and even 50% off etc.

How annoying! I totally sympathise with you as I am saving VERY hard for our trip. I was advised by my TA at Premier to wait until the new Leger brochure is out as they 'should' have early booking discounts. Having been told to expect it at the end of October they now tell me it's due end of December. I'm worried I will have missed out on another offer (that finished today) by waiting.
Really hope you get a great deal [-o<

I was just wondering, why wait for a travel agency, why not book direct, is it not cheaper :?: Just wondering :)

Its Leger themselves that told me about the release date. I could call them direct but prob wouldnt get any 'offers' if I did. 3 weeks didnt seem long to wait when I made my enquiry, so I held on.

Hi,

I have always booked my stays direcly with Disney and Eurostar. I have found this to be the cheapest way. Last time on the phone the lady said that they have special deals of the day but only a limited amount. May be worth phoning and asking. I would still wait until after xmas for the new deals.

I would agree with that GROVESIE, I also always book with Disney direct, and eurostar seperately. I would have to believe that it is cheaper that way, I could be wrong mind you, but it would seem very strange to me if a TA was cheaper than disney itself, but having never booked with a TA, perhaps I'm not the right person to judge :)

i think Leger can be cheaper sometimes because its a coach tour including Disneyland Paris tickets. So you spend a lot of time travelling on the coach, and get the DLP park tickets thrown in.

Elaine is right, Leger coach packages are cheaper. I'd rather go via Eurostar but it makes sense to
a.) begin our trip to the Magic from approx. 2 miles down the road
and
b.) save cash on the trip price so I can spend more in the Parks \:D/

Lol, thanks Epcot Boy :) ...thing is I'm still toying with the idea of going by Eurostar as I'm sure myself and my family won't really enjoy the coach trip. Bite the bullet and work lotsa overtime to afford that option? or not? Still got plenty of time to decide :?
I've heard that The Sunday Times is featuring a DLP offer tomorrow. :ears:

Hi just wondered how you know about the sunday times upcoming offer-only I can't find it? We took our kids for the 1st time last month and am desperate to return sometime next year in half term/school hols before dreams ends (supposedly on until 30th september but hoping they may extend it further). At the moment prices coming up as too much unless take eldest out of school (which I don't want to do as had to for out recent trip). Only want to go for 2 nights staying at any on-site hotel so want money off a 2 night stay rather than 4 nights for the price of 2 if that makes sense !
