Can you see Dreams from the Disneyland Hotel?

Postby kelliejayne » Wed Jun 13, 2012 10:36 pm

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I cannot find anything in the search.

I am visiting DLP the week after next and am wondering on how best to view the Disney Dreams spectacular. My son is 6 and in a wheelchair and I have read somewhere on here that there is no reserved area for wheelchairs. Please correct me if I am wrong with this.

There is no way he will wait hours before hand to get a place and he will no doubt struggle with the crowd. We are staying in the Disneyland hotel and so I am wondering with this being at the parks entrance is it possible to view the show from some areas of the hotel? I appreciate this will totally depend on room location etc. Any ideas or tips would be most welcome :) Thank you in advance

Yes, but it is in the castle club in the private dining room. If you book the Disney dreams dinner package which includes a meal at Silverspur Steakhouse or Walts you have dinner before Dreams and then are allowed into a VIP watching area where only people with this package are allowed. This would be a good option as the crowds would be less dense and no pushing shoving or people blocking your view.

Hope you have a great stay!!!

When we watched dreams, the central bit just before the castle was roped off for wheelchairs, and the bit across the road from Caseys Corner was roped off for VIPS, and Silver Spur menue etc. I would double check this with guest relations before buying your dreams package ticket. We watched dreams in front of the railings at Caseys Corner and had a perfect view as everyone else went straight in the road of mainstreet leading up to the castle. We also had friends staying in the Disneyland Hotel who had a room facing the castle, and they could see Dreams. Hope this helps.

Hi Johnathan,

No I have not booked this myself and I am not as I dont think I need to. I didnt no the prices but did a bit of digging and if you follow this link http://www.tripadvisor.ie/ShowTopic-g20 ... rance.html there is a discussion about this on tripadvisor. It says it costs €40 for adults and €20 for children. You can book it through dining reservations before or city hall or your hotel concierge on arrival. The number for dining reservations Call +33 (0) 1 60 30 40 50.

Hope this helps you :D

And I wonder if Half board premium vouchers can be put towards it. I may ask the travel agent

there is a disabled viewing area for Dreams inside the park. Its on the central plaza, and you do get a great view from there (we got back last night).

Oh that is great thank you all for your replies. We have character meals booked each night so wasn't too keen to change them as he is really excited about eating with all the characters :) It's great to know there is an area for wheel chairs. Elaine I hope you had a great time :)

Thanks for the link

A lot of people are saying that there is a dedicated VIP viewing area at Caseys Corner as part of this package however there is no real way they can stop people standing in front of this roped off area so you might not get the better view that youd hoped for

Were going for 7 nights/8 days thid time so hopefully there'll be enough opportunities for us to get a good view of the show maybe?! lol ;)

if its a dry evening, you might find that most people sit down in the the plaza and around that area to see Dreams. It makes it easy for everyone to see if thats the case (we had this on one evening), but to be honest you get a good view of Dreams from most places around the Plaza, even at the back of the VIP viewing area near the Liberty arcade/entrance to Frontierland. Because the Castle is elevated, and the way the plaza is designed, its really not a big issue to find somewhere that you and your children can see.

If you do not mind getting wet, Dreams is also great to view on evening where it is raining. There will not be a lot of ppl in the park (even on weekends) and most will get out before Dreams starts because they do not want to spen d more time inside the rain. The dinner is really not a bad idea, but I am really surprised there is also a wheelchair area now, because that did not exist when we were there 3 weeks ago

I was surprised too as it had not been mentioned, but when it was there last week it was a welcome addition. I think there was a need for it. I wish i was back there now!

Just to say we are just home after a wonderful time. They did have a special spot for disabled guests and it was fantastic. They even went and got me a chair to sit on next to my son as I am pregnant :D excellent care
