Tron Legacy. I have yet to see Tron 1 and I don't think that I will be on the strenght of this, not my cup of tea and too long, good effects though.

Yesterday we have seen "The Hunger Games" in the OV. What a big disappointment. I've expected so much of the movie, because of all the hype, but I guess I'm not the target audience. My girlfriend read the books and loved them, but even she didn't like the movie. It was too long, too boring, even John Carter was better, but at least the film was more interesting than the Twilight series. Unfortunately this was the weakest movie we have seen so far this year.

The Fox and the Hound. Made after the first golden age of Disney animation and before the second, this film goes to proof that Disney made some good films during this period, and the Fox and the Hound is one of the best. It also has a good musical score.

Having watched the Disney Dreams video Anthony made I got a serious craving for Tanlged. So being a slave to my inner-child-like urges ... I watched Tangled.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Walt Disney's first full length cartoon classic and still going strong after 75 years. The roots of the Disney company are in animation and film. That's how Walt Disney made his name and now Disney is one of the most famous brands in the world.

The King's Speech, which was very good and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I didn't think that I would like Colin Firth as King George, but I wasn't so keen on Helena Bonham Carter as Queen Elizabeth.

Finally got round to watch Disney/Bruickheimer's The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and, expecting it to be horrible, I really, really enjoyed it. Although I thought Nicholas Cage was incredibly drab as Balthazar Blake - there are so many actor's that could have done that role so much better.

'Dark Shadows'

Tim Burton creates a charming, comedic film about changing cultures, family bond and the classic story of the outsider finding his spot in society. He takes his time to create charming locations and characters and most importantly he focuses on the brilliant mix of drama, comedy and horror that he excels in. He has forgotten that in Alice and Charlie. Now he is back and it is promising. It still lacks a bit more heart in order to be as good as Beetle Juice and Edward Scissorhands. But along with Sweeney Todd it is easily his best film of this century.
