Hi

We have rebooked for June this year, 78 days left to go !!..... We stayed last year, it was excellent. I cant fault it as we had a great experience, no problems at all. The staff were lovely and friendly and it is just the right distance to walk to the parks - we quite enjoyed walking through Disney Village.
Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and not as busy as we expected, however after first morning at Parkside Diner, we tried the Manhattan restaurant the next day and prefered this. Quieter and more relaxed.
Lots of character interaction in reception area - Minnie Mouse spent ages with my niece, hugging and looking at the Minnie toys she had bought throughout the day. Made her trip.
The room was lovely and clean and was quite a nice size. No complants there.
We have been rewatching our DVD of our trip and when I see the foyer/reception area, I can smell it....cant explain it, it makes my tummy turn with excitement at the thought of going back. I am more excited than the kids.
I think you get it now......I loved it, which is why we rebooked. I cant think of any handy tips for this hotel as we had no problems. I have worked in travel all my life and have stayed in some of the best hotels thanks to work, so am always expecting a certain standard (not that you always get it), but I reckon this deserves its praise.

Have a fantastic time!!!! x

i know what you mean about smell. I havent stayed at the DL hotel but the reception smells amazing. For mothers day i got some hand cream from the disney store and the smell reminds of the hotel. lol.

I am so excited the kids 6 and 4 dont get it but after 1 stay at santa 4 x Cheynne 3 x S. Lodge i have always wanted to stay at the NY so i am really pleased!

Whats dates you going?

Hotel New York is fab! It true the smell is amazing. I am also going back in june, going to book it this week :) The hotel is quite peaceful, but still packed with the disney feel.

The walk to the park is not a big deal after a long day at the parks, or after an early breakfast, which is great.

Could not be happier with this hotel! Even though I still want to try the DL Hotel.

We are staying 5th - 8th June. 2 rooms as my brother and his lot are coming too. We had connecting rooms so the kids could flit between the 2.
When are you going?
Seriously can not wait......

Great to hear so many good things about the NYH. We`ll be staying there in octobre :D
My husband chose the hotel this time. He loves NY, the city.
One question: whats the difference between Parkside and Manhatten restaurant, breakfast-wise? Do I get to choose? And do they have timeslots there to, to choose from?

We absolutely LOVE the HNY. The rooms are very spacious and confortable, the CM there are great, breakfast is wonderful (you got to try their deliciously fresh orange juice!!), and the hotel bar is simply the best. We've stayed there many many times (haven't been anywhere else for the last few years), we've been there with friends, with family and kids, and just as a couple, and it was great for everyone everytime.

@Aurora1: the food served in the two restaurants is the same, but Manhattan has a nicer setting and very comfy chairs, and usually quieter (most people seem to go to the Parkise Diner). If you can, go for Manhattan!

Yep no difference in food both the same great quality. I agree with never2old both are nice but Manhattan is better. I have even had the breakfast in the bar when we were last there. Also very nice, a bit calmer and comfy - only down point is that if you get too comfy its hard to leave!

I am going on 18th june.

The Disneyland Hotel is pure magic, but way too expensive. It will always be my favourite, but the New York is a very close second. Sure that once we win the lottery (any day now [-o< ) we will only stay in the Castle Club of the DLH, but until then... The New York is definitely a perfect alternative.
