Disney March 2012

Postby julesk » Fri Mar 09, 2012 3:58 pm

Hi, I'm so sorry to start a new topic and I promise I'm not just a fly by newby member,I promise to hang around as a fellow disney fan. We are visiting again this month, for the 4th time, taking our daughter for the first time but all the schedules keep getting smaller week by week. Is this set for March as so far, my toddler has had all but one of her wish list taken off the schedule. Meet Rapunzel has now been taken off too. Can anyone update me on this before we are reduced to tears again. Disney is our lives, I just wanted my little princess to be happy  Sorry again, if this gets deleted I'll completly understand. Never started a new topic in my life but I'm desperate [-o<

Hi julesk,

When exactly are you visiting this month? I may be wrong but I think Rapunzel might have just moved inside the Princess Pavilion. That does make finding her a little harder though, as the specific presence of each princess there isn't very well publicised.

Many of the other events which have been taken off the schedule (aside from the popular Peter Pan event) were largely inconsequential leftovers from the previous Magical Moments Festival. The entertainment schedule might be smaller, but you're not particularly missing much. The park will be busy and "buzzing" this month in the build up to the anniversary!

Thank you so much Anthony. We are going in the last week of the month. Thanks for the reassurance, we love Disney so am sure they wont let us down, its just disappointing for my Rapunzell obcessed daughter. Even her bed room looks like the town with its bunting and decorations. She's been planning for so long, right down to growing her hair long enough to platt in time to complement her dress. Do you have any tips on finding out how we might find out what princesses will be there and an estimated time? The new pavillian does look much better than the old curtained stage, cant wait to see that. Thanks again, I promise to come back with any tips I discover and share with other disney fans. x

You used to be able to ask at the Town Hall which princesses will be there and when, although last time we went they told us they wouldn't be told till the Princess was already there. It may still be worth checking, but be aware that switchover can vary and the quewe itself may be very long so the princesses often change while you are quewing.
We spend about 20% of our time in the parks in a quewe for a Princess, as little sis is as obsessed with Aurora as your daughter sounds to be with Rapunzel, but we always miss her (last time she was at the tent so we quewed and in the 2 hours we were there saw Ariel, Tiana, Belle, Cinderella, Ariel again and as we walked away Aurora came back out). The best way to avoid dissapointment is to quewe 30 mins before opening when it is short, so at least if the princesses there aren't the one you want you haven't waited for hours.
Hopefully the new pavillion will be better, as you can see 2 princesses rather than just the one.
Hope that helps.

We did the Princess Pavilion in February, you can only see one princess but you do get to choose who you see. When we went there was Tiana and Belle. We saw Tiana because she is my favorite.

Thank you so much for all the advise, I didnt realise you could only see one princess. Getting all the disappointment out the way now I guess. Diffently going to get in line half hour before. Just a shame its not possible to see who your waiting for now but add's to the suprise. Thanks again. x x

You can ask who is there before you see a princess incase there is a perticular one you want to see. But remember they do change every 30 mins, it took us about 30 - 45mins to queue and be seen :) I hope I have helped.

Hi, sorry can't help much but came back yesterday after our first trip. My daughter also loves rapunzel and wore her dress around the park! We weren't lucky enough to see her though, I think we missed her by a day! We did the princess dining and tiana told us that she's hiding and hard to find at the moment! Sorry if that's not what you want to hear but maybe by the time you go she may be around again. She wasn't in the parade either. The princess pavilion was always busy with a wait of around an hour. We didn't bother waiting as we did the princess dining and she was happy seeing the others in the parade! Anyway hope you manage to find her on your trip! If you want to know anything else about what the parks are like at the moment just ask! I'm no expert as this was our first trip but we were there Mon to Fri last wk!

Thats good to know that they change every 30 mins, thank you. So pleased you had a good visit excitedmummyof2, the Princess lunch was cancelled from our booking back in July last year so we dont have that option. I was worried Rapunzel might be missing till 1st April, so guessing that will still be the case. Can I ask, did the princesses walk down the parade route? I have seen on you tube that there float has been removed? Really wished we could change our visit till 1st April onwards, the new shows look breathtaking. Thanks again xx

if you are in the park for the last week of March my guess is you may well see a "soft opening" of the new parade with the new princesses carriages so it would be as well for you to watch the parade each day!

Thank you captain Rocket, I have checked this and all dress rehersals are taking place during the night and it has been confirmed that we wont see anything. Unless we where in one of the Disneyland Hotel rooms over looking the park. Which we are not, which is a shame. We are in Santa Fe. Thanks again x

Hi yes the princesses and princes were walking in front of areals float which was great because they walked alongside the crowd and were really close to us even commenting on our daughters belle dress the one day! As a first time visitor I wouldn't have known they had removed a float if id not seen it on here! I'm sure you'll have a lovely time, we certainly did!

Thank you, it so good to know we will diffently see some of the princesses. She will be over the moon to see the princes too. She's for ever making up wedding days for her dolls.. Unfortunately we will have already left by 26th March, but hope you all enjoy the soft parades. Such a shame as I'm guessing Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder would have been there too. Already had tears as they wont be there when we go. x

Im with you there - we are due to go on 26/27 March and feel a little disappointed that some of the finale floats will be missing from the parade, along with some rides closed. Seems like we picked a rubbish time to go!

Hey,

Heres the current and correct schedule for the last week of March when you are going. This schedule isnt going to change :D

http://news.disneylandparis.co.uk/UK/EN ... arades.pdf

All the meet n greets locations and times are here. Also even though she mighnt get to see Repunzel bring her to the Princess Paviliion to meet Princesses.

You could also bring her To Auberge De Cendrillion for lunch/dinner with all the princesses and princes. This is a brilliant place. The food is french cuisine. Also you can get photos and autographs from them. The princesses also do a royal dance which is lovely to watch :D
