Re: Eurostar - questions and travel updates

It is often more expensive to book the Eurostar through Disney and booking it separately saves a lot of money!!
If you book the eurostar as far in advanced as possible you also save tons!!
You can often get a return to Disney on the Eurostar for £69

I had a look and you are right it is cheaper! Do I get Disney express still? Is it all the same process with the Eurostar etc?

You can add the Disney express to your Disney package for £16 a person which includes arrival and departure, you just inform them you have booked . You check in exactly the same at the counter if you go in-direct or on the train if you get the direct service. It is exactly the same process as you would have if you purchased it through Disney just a LOT cheaper :D.

Have you used the Disney Express before?

Am a bit stuck now-is there a high chance if I book the eurostar separately that I might lose out on any seats and not be able to go? Thats worrying me quite a bit!

It really depends on how far in advance you are planning on booking?! As long as it is a reasonable amount of time it should be fine. You can also always go to Paris and get the RER train or go to Lille and change you can go all sorts of ways. I shouldn't see a problem as long as you book it with enough notice. I haven't had a problem before.

Ive just booked my disney holiday for the 4th june but couldnt get eurostar at the same time as it was fully booked through Disney :(

they did say to try eurostar on its own but they arent doing the prices yet for june so its just a waiting game now to see if more seats are released like they say might happen.

Hope they do as i dont fancy driving and going on the ferry again :( would be nice just to chill out on the train.

We have just booked to go to Disneyland Paris via Eurostar from Ashford. Does anyone know how long you have to be there before the train leaves? Train departs 10:58am. Thanks.

Am confused, looking at booking trip Wed 2nd May returning Sat 5th May and realised that there will be no direct train back due to it being a Saturday. BUT on the Disneyland website, when I put in the dates, it offers me train return on the Saturday (and because currently 30% off price is OK). I'm ready to book, but concerned that there actually isn't a train on that date, could Disney have it wrong?

Have confirmed with Eurostar that there is a direct train back on the Saturday - not sure if it's because of the bank holiday weekend, but I'm happy :-) Also booked through Nectar using our points to get a discount and they've sorted out seats around a table so all sorted!

Anyone know the answer to this? Also how do you reserve your seat as we booked through the Disney website and there was no option on there.

I always use Eurostar from Ashford and normally get to the station between one and one and half hours before departure. This allows for a leisurely stroll through check-in and customs. Eurostar check-in is nothing like an airport, it's far more laid back, and in my opinion the only way to travel

If you've booked via Disney then I think you have to go with what seat they give you.............however perhaps if you contact Eurostar and give your name and date of travel they maybe able to arrange your seating, but I wouldn't bet on it to be honest :) :(

I wonder if you can help us. We are just doing some forward planing for traveling to DLP in November. Thinking of traveling from Ashford on Saturday 24th November traveling back on the following Friday. Obviously these dates are not showing on their website yet. Did notice that there are no direct trains on a Saturday (which is bizarre in my humble opinion). How easy is it to go to Lille and then transfer? We will be 2 adults with a 4 1/2 year old and a 19 month old, so worried about lugging all the luggage with 2 children between trains.
Also, would we than be able to get a direct train back the following Friday?
We have always flown previously as we live in Scotland, but relatives have recently moved to the South Coast so we thought we would find out about Eurostar.

Hi there, I've been on the dlp website and got a price with and without the eurostar package with them. I got a price of £749.14 August 28-31st for 4 days 3 nights staying at the Santa Fe for 1 adult and 3 kids aged 14, 11 & 5. The price with eurostar was £1023.14. Which is £274.00 extra. Basically it works out at £68.50 return fare per person. This also includes disney express. I am guessing this is a good price! The 30% off transport offer is definately making me want to book!

I have no idea why but there are no direct trains on Tuesdays and Saturdays except during school holidays. In the past we have changed at Lille and it wasn't too much hassle although we did have to wait for the next train for just over an hour and there is really nothing to do apart from get a coffee and go to the toilet. However, it was almost £100 cheaper than the direct train so more than made up for it.

We always travel by Eurostar (I live in Ashford so I'd be mad not to!).

My friend and I are going this Christmas to combine our love of Disney Christmas AND the 20th anniversary celebrations. Got a good deal on Sequoia Lodge by booking so early but I'm doing the Eurostar separately.

Obviously I'm going to book it as far in advance as possible so it's cheapest - am I right in thinking that the earliest I can book is 6months in advanced so I'll be booking in July?
My Trips:
Spoiler: show
03/2009 - Davy Crockett (Accompanying school trip)
07/2009 - Disneyland Hotel

By phone you can book tickets 9 months in advance. In the past if you phoned before the tickets were available they put you on a 'call back' list and phoned you when they went on sale, that way you get the cheapest possible tickets.
