@dagobert: I've still seen Kristof around here but more so in the background for a while now, just by checking who's online. I expect he's quite busy doing many a thing to keep us all up and running on here, watching out for those unexpected glitches..

@Anthony: It's an honour to be on here still, and long may this Forum continue. I must also give your DLRP Magic a lot of credit aswell, as I still use it a lot to check on the latest news and parc schedules, especially for our latest trip which is coming up at the end of March.. As for the.....

About the rankings: Now, please don't close your account, throw your computer out the window or scream "I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR NOTHING??!" so loudly that it can be heard as far away as Marne-la-Vallée, but as it stands... 5000 posts and "When You Wish Upon a Star" is the highest ranking. However, there's a tempting "Add new rank" on the admin interface, so let's see...

Now that would be interesting, since we all know 'When You Wish Upon a Star' is the ultimate Disney signature tune, what could beat that... I wonder..

It's been too long.

Firstly let me say a big, big congratulations to Javey on his 9000th post. It's a real honour to know you for all of these years and to call you my friend.

Now for all the new folks thinking "Who on earth is this fool?", I'm also from the "old guard" who has sadly drifted further and further away from not only the Magic Forum, but from DLP in general I'm going to be hitting 18 in a few weeks time and I'm currently studying my A2 levels but that hasn't been my excuse for not posting or visiting. Technically I have been here every day due to force of habit of clicking on that MF tab as soon as load up the web. However, a lot has been going on with my life as of late; mostly personal which I would be uncomfortable revealing publically. Because of these matters I have been grower further and further away from my interests and have found myself with little time or motivation to actually post on here and share with my Disney love. Being truly honest, I don't even know the latest news regarding the resort. I heard some talk of Ratatouille thanks to the MF's twitter (which I'd like to thank Kristof and Anthony for!) but apart from that, I know nothing.

I really miss the old days, and I really wish I was able to be the regular member I once was. It's the community that makes this forum so great, and I wish I could be a part of it again. Someday, I would love to be able to chat with all of the old folks around here - you all know who you are - and have a good old catch up.

How are you doing with your baby? I can imagine that having a baby can be a bit stressful. When is your little one getting the first Disney dose?

We're doing great dabogert! She's a wonderful little girl It was quite stressful at first, but now it all seems very distant. She's great!!



We're thinking of going to DLP in September, gotta go for the 20th anniversary of course, but we're not sure if we'll be taking her with us or not... She'd be about 18 months then. If not it will be in 2013, when she's 2. At the latest.

Of course she's already had a very little taste of it... We stopped in Marne la Vallée on our way to Spain this summer (we drove down) and we took her to the Disney Village. She wasn't even 4 months old then!

Back on subject though, what are your plans for your 10,000th post Javey? Big party? You need to start planning ahead for something like that, you know...

Your daughter is very cute. I don't have kids, but I don't know if I want to go to Disney without them. However since she is still so young, she probably will not remember anything if you would take her with you. I guess I would leave my kids also at home as long as they are too young.

@never2old: Awwwhh well thank you never2old for your comments and I must say she's beautiful and I think another Disney Fan in the making for sure, you should be proud..

It's another suprise seeing someone else from the old guard popping in to say hello, I hope you get to go for the 20th Anniversary. We are going but will miss the start, but I'm expecting the merchandise to be out in force. We are going 25th to 28th of March this year. Starting to close in on us now, really excited since we missed 2011..

As for my 10,000th post, well I cannot think that far ahead really, still seems ever so distant at this point. I could have a party, nice thought.. Whatever I come up with, I've got about 1 1/2 to 2 years to plan it.. Errrrrrmm

I'm pleased you've noticed that point about the merchandise thread. I suppose your right, but quite a while back there were other posters on there on a regular basis, but like other areas they have disappeared..

But not to worry I've gone a little quiet of late on there myself, it's just I ain't been buying recently since we are saving for our up and coming trip, so once we're back there should be a lot more on there to make up for it..

Well I'm sorry to say but I've done 3 lengthy Trip Reports in the past and I've decided not to do one this time. They really do take up a lot of time, effort and research, which at present I do not have much of and after the last one I swore not to do the same..

Instead I've decided just to put some of the photos of the day with a quick summary. Don't get me wrong the last 3 were fun to do but took me days to complete from my written writeups and then having to compile all the photos chosen to go with it, then arranging them in the correct areas. So I'm sorry to dissapoint anyone who thought the same for this time..

As for the 1000 in a year... Not sure.. Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell..

Of course I noticed your merchandise obsession. I always check what' new. I've deleted all my merchandise pictures, because I didn't have time to come here that often and I didn't want to leave my pictures on the board.

I don't have so many merchandise items, just a few pins from DLRP and WDW , some other items from the parks and all the goodies that came with the D23 magazines. DLRP's offerings are pretty bad, so there's nothing to buy.
