Thanks for all the positive feedback on the site! The section as a whole has had more than 8,000 pageviews in the past two days, so it looks like Paris really was crying out for its own Yesterland.

More items have been added since the launch, with particular thanks so far to The Helmsman. You can see yesterday's additions all on one page here.

And even more from today here, including some really fantastic pieces from Pussinboots coming in a moment (only just checked my site email..).

The address to send stuff to again is simply memorabilia-AT-dlrpmagic.com, or you can just upload your scans/photos anywhere and send the links to me. I'll add this info to the homepage later, hopefully we'll get some more people digging out their collections.

Site looking great. I should have a few bits and bobs for the site, which I will retrieve and scan next week. Not wishing to blow up your email account, how big do you want the files? If it is ok to be big, I will scan at the highest res.

Thanks Adam! I don't think file size should be any problem, perhaps split them across a few emails if they are very large. I'm posting images online at max. 1000px (2000px for large guidemaps, etc), as a guide.

I forgot to mention earlier, you can subscribe to the new RSS feed for the site and get any new additions directly. I'll also be posting notes here, on Twitter, and perhaps on the main site updates with those daily archive links whenever there's a large lot or something particularly interesting.

Today you really should take a look at Pussinboots' visitor guide from 1995:

Image

The old lavish style where each land had its own pages. It's also the only place I've ever seen them use a French translation of Space Mountain: Mont de l'Espace. Hmm...

Also, a Disneyland Paris logo I've never ever seen before, from before they settled on the (now current again) design:

You're welcome, but oh dear, I just noticed the horrendous state in which some of my scans and memorabilia are. There are manuscripts personally handled by Shakespeare which are in better condition. There's even some nonsensical note on one. (The purpose of which will forever remain a mystery.) I'll do some rescanning/retouching when I have the time, and hopefully dig up some more.

Anthony wrote:Park tickets I'd especially like. The collections people are posting over here are amazing, but I've only got about 5 tickets before I started on APs (and annoyingly the CM in the passport office swiped and binned my old 2007 one of those before I'd realised... hopefully that's a not a trend). The old pre-2001 designs were brilliant and definitely deserve to be catalogued. Any pre-2006 AP designs are also welcome, as well as 2007 I guess.

I've still got some parktickets overhere from my trips in 1996 (both adult and child tickets with Space Mountain on them) and 1997 (also both adult and child tickets with characters from the Hunchback on them). Besides that, Ive also got tickets from Buffalo Bill. They are different to the 1992 ticket you've featured on the site (one with Buffalo Bill himself on it (yellow/brown), and the other with the Indian (blue)). Would you like me to scan them?

Oh, they're fine! I've got some maps from 2000/2001 coming up where all the things I wanted to go on are circled... with "Maybe" written next to Phantom Manor. :|

Anthony, you've done a great job with the design and development of this new Memorabilia site. I really like it.

My only concern with websites created by individuals, as apposed to companies, is that they can disappear and go off-line at any point, for a number of reasons. Quite often the person that started them no longer has the time to run them.

It'd be great if this Memorabilia site stayed online forever, as a permanent archive of Disneyland Paris' history. I hope it does, but I fear it will vanish within 5 years.

Thanks Alan! But believe me when I say this: www.dlrpmagic.com isn't going to disappear overnight. Or in 5 years. Especially now it's home to all this amazing stuff people are sending in. The site began in 2002 (moved to the .com June 2003), so that's 7 years already.

Though my post count doesn't stand for it, I have been visiting this place (both the main site and the forum) for almost 5-6 years and I must say that it's the best internet place for DLRP (oops, DLP I meant  ). Constantly updated with new material, whether that is information, pictures, videos, rumours, announcements, news, reviews etc etc. It really is the place to be for all the fans.

Ok, well that's reassuring. Good to know :-)

Only problem that I have with this site in general is, an identity crisis. I get very confused between Photosmagiques.com, DLRPMagic.com, then Magicforum, etc. Are they all owned by the same people? What's the relationship between the three?

I run DLRP Magic, Today and Review (the two of which are spun off onto their own site mostly just because you'll never find a cheap webhost willing to host that much stuff on one account). Kristof runs Photos Magiques and the admin side of magicforum.

If you want a brief history, back in around 2003 I asked Kristof if I could use some of his photos for DLRP Magic, eventually that became a kind of website partnership. In 2006 (I think) we launched WDS Fans together (which is admittedly currently added to mostly by Kristof).

At that point, the Photos Magiques Forum became the Photos Magiques / WDS Fans Forum. Ugly. So quite soon after, we changed it to simply magicforum, so it can sit between the sites as its own, central place.

Even more new items, with lots to look inside:

Including the first trial "Magical Programme" leaflet, then the first official "Extra Magic Hours" programme; programme from the short-lived Easter Season, Magical World of Tinker Bell, old Halloween Party, video insert and guidemap cover from 1995 and a postcard with the early "1995-style" Disneyland Resort Paris logo.

This is also an interesting look at the days when, rather than new attractions and theme years, every month was filled by a different (in some cases, slightly desperate) season:

When you click an item from these "Latest Additions" links, a second navigation box now also appears on the right, so you can navigate by Date Added, rather than having to use the Back button and then clicking the next new item.

Just found my old Euro Disneyland board game! It's one of those amazing '90s boardgames with about a million pieces to swallow and requiring about half an hour to set it up. (This one: http://www.ag-stats.com/2009ron-1/aw2k/LotImg41061.jpg)

Not sure if it's strictly Memorabilia, but I'm taking pictures anyway.

Got some old 1991 and 1992 video inserts, more old tickets and some images from the short-lived 2005 holiday planning DVD coming up later today too.

Added some old Resort ID cards yesterday, sent in by The Helmsman:

And here's that board game I promised, 14 photos and 3 scans from the rather nice instruction booklet:
