Didnt manage to get any of the menus I hoped to, I had the list on my phone which then didnt charge overnight so I didnt have the list in the park Only got the Hunters Grill menu as it was in our hotel. Best laid plans and all that!

As promised, the Planning section is next to be given a refresh for 2011.



Rather than being squashed into columns, the whitespace of the page now spans the full width, meaning on some pages the content can be expanded out right across the page. A few examples of this so far are Park Tickets, Annual Passports, Half Board Meal Plans and even Ride Restrictions.

So far all the "Services" pages and a few in "Advice" have been updated, but still lots more to do. (Particularly those ancient travel guides...)

At http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/practicalities/ I don't see any pictures to the left of the titles. I'm guessing that it's not supposed to be like this. Anyone else having the same "problem"? Is in both Chrome and Firefox. Not a big deal, but just wondering.

Sorry, that's not you -- that's me not getting round to finishing that page yet! I was just planning to start on the "Practicalities" pages tonight though, so it should be finished shortly. Thanks for pointing it out!

Nothing major, but I updated the look of the Calendar pages last week.

One new feature that was requested are archived park opening hours, so they no longer disappear from the site once the month has passed. You can go back to September 2009, which might be useful for getting an idea of opening times for certain months before they're announced.

Updated the Annual Passports guide and Annual Passport Blockouts page.

• Francilien is now €119, Classic is €99 and available for everyone a new base tier ticket, creating a more even array of 4 passports.
• No longer an AP desk at the Walt Disney Studios entrance, just the new location next to Blockbuster Café in Backlot which is open only infrequently
• A few changes in discounts - all passports now offer both restaurant and boutique discounts, discounts for party night tickets have been generally reduced quite a bit (from 50% to 30% for Dream)
• Blockouts page now lists Classic blockouts and goes right up to April 2013

I've just noticed that pages on DLRPMagic.com and DLRPToday.com are currently displaying "Error establishing a database connection". Don't worry, I'm aware of it - I'm sure it's just a blip that'll be fixed soon.

And it's back! Oh boy I love my webhost.

In general website news, I'm going to start work on a new homepage soon. The current layout has served us since around March 2010 - quite unbelievable if anyone knows how often I used to like changing things around. Don't expect anything groundbreaking, just more space for the content to breathe and a focus back on the main Guidebook pages, which are almost lost there in the middle of the page right now.

By "starting work on a new homepage soon", I obviously meant my usual definition of "soon".

That's still to come as the next project (it needs quite a big change), but in the meantime the bright white clouds have parted over DLRP Magic.com to reveal a starry sky, ready for the year of Dreams ahead!



This tweaked design was previously previewed on just the 20th Anniversary teaser page but it can now be seen across the site. As the first major change to the general look of the site in over two years, hopefully it keeps things fresh and makes the pages slightly easier on the eye. You might notice a few areas where boxes have the old background colour, I'll fix those gradually (replacing the background image with pure CSS).

There's also a new preview guide for Disney Dreams! today, to be updated and expanded over the coming months.

DLRP Today.com will stay with the "daytime" look, but I might tone down the brightness of the blue slightly.

Yes norhel, I've been planning to add hotel pages for years! The good news is I think it'll finally be one of my first projects this year, as I know how many people want to see them. I'm not sure the format yet, but probably a single page with sections for Rooms, Dining, Leisure, etc. Hopefully clearer and easier to browse than the official pages...
