VEA shuttle bus to Disneyland Paris

Postby Minnie2610 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 7:18 pm

Hi guys,

Am travelling to Disneyland Paris on Tueday 26th June 2012 and returning on Friday 29th June 2012.
Am travelling by VEA shuttle and am wondering are the waits really as long as they are said to be (e.g. 60min and 60min journey). And btw the shuttle was part of the package when we booked so doubt we will be changing transport. But please prepare me for the worst i know you guys are truthful and will ;)

Thank you

Depends what time of day you are going. I have arrived late at night before and been the only person on the bus. At busy times they seem to send more buses anyway, so I'd be very surprised if you had to wait 60mins. The journey is nearer to 60mins though, maybe 50/60.

yes, it is usually an hour or just over that you are on the VEA coach, both ways. I can't comment on how long you'll wait for the VEA at the airport before you get on one and it sets off for DLP, as I haven't used the VEA for about 4 years, and the system has changed since I last used it.

My flight is landing at T1 and i know i have to get another white VEA shuttle to T2E/2F. My flight is landing at 09:45 and by the time we get our bags and get to terminal 2E/2F it will probably be 10:30-11:00

Hi, our flight landed (earlier this month) at around 9am, we then got on the shuttle to t2 and had no problems getting on the vea. We followed the signs in the airport - Disneyland by bus and waited for maybe 10-15 minutes. Got on no problem, the bus was fairly full but no one was left waiting. We were on the bus for about 45 minutes then dropped off at the entrance to the hotel. I'm sure we were in the park by about 11.30 after checking in then catching the shuttle bus from the Santa Fe. We were amazed at how smoothly everything went! Coming back however was a bit of a scrum tbh. Id say on your departure day get to the pick up point early, we were there about 40 minutes before the bus was due and there were already a fair few waiting. If you can I'd say familiarize yourself with the pick up point and stand with your luggage right at the front of it!! We just waited around then as soon as the bus was in sight everyone crammed to the front (most of them had only just got to the pick up point) and we nearly didn't get on! In the end I left poor hubby with the luggage and barged to the front of the queue with my children and told the driver my husband was loading the luggage. Only about half of the people waiting managed to get on so it was worth the dirty looks for barging through! There was no way I wasn't getting on that bus after being one of the first there! The driver tried to stop my husband from getting on but luckily he remembered me saying! He did say however that another bus was on its way. The journey back was about 50 minutes. Hope this helps and hasn't put you off! It really wasn't a big deal but just be prepared to join the scrum if need be! It may of just been a really busy time when we were travelling back. Hope it goes smoothly for you.

The safest and quickest way to return to CDG is to take the TGV, it only takes ten minutes and you have a guaranteed seat! Also no problem with heavy traffic/accidents.

Thanks everyone.

Going to stick with the VEA shuttle even though we may have to wait and the journey is 1hr or so.

Il take your advice and be there early when the bus comes I`ll get on the bus straight away even if I get "dirty looks" and save a seat for the others.

Thanks you hope everything works out [-o<

I really just think it's luck of the draw - as far as I know they are supposed to arrive about every 20 minutes? But (hope this makes you feel better) I have got the VEA three times now I think, from CDG to DLP, and every time there has been one waiting there when we've gone to buy our tickets! Often they seem to park up and wait a few minutes to fill it up, so if you're the first one on you might be waiting a while, I guess, but at least it's nice to be on it and know you're all sorted! :D

If you're getting on the shuttle at 10.30am ish, you should have no problems at all, I'd guess. The only time I've had to wait is once when coming back (travelling from Hotel Cheyenne to CDG) and we had to wait about 30 mins, but we'd planned for that anyway. As long as you leave plenty of time on the way back, you shouldn't have any problems at all :)
